The Daily Beacon is the campus newspaper serving the campus of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and its surrounding community since 1906. The paper is an editorially independent newspaper operating within the Office of Student Media and is entirely written, produced, and managed by students. The publishing of a daily newspaper is one of the oldest student traditions at the University of Tennessee.
The Daily Beacon is a member of the Associated Collegiate Press, College Media Advisers, College Newspaper Business and Advertising Managers. Students, faculty and staff rely upon The Daily Beacon for up-to-date news, sports and entertainment coverage, locally and nationally.
