After leaving the Lady Vols’ 72-58 win early in the second half on Sunday, Isabelle Harrison will miss the remainder of her senior season with a torn ACL in her right knee, head coach Holly Warlick confirmed in a Monday afternoon press release.

“My heart goes out to Izzy, because I know how hard she has worked to become the player she is,” Warlick said. “She’s meant so much to our program and is everything I want a Lady Vol to be. She will continue to be a valuable part of this team and provide great leadership for the remainder of the season.”

Harrison suffered a sprain in the same knee in the season opener with Penn and was forced to miss five games.

The Nashville, Tennessee, native was named a pre-season All-SEC performer and averaged 12.8 points with 9.1 rebounds in 20 games this season.

The loss of Harrison further depletes the Lady Vols’ post presence after Warlick elected to redshirt 6-foot-6 center Mercedes Russell before the start of the season.

Harrison became the 39th Lady Vol to score 1,000 career points on Jan. 29 at Kentucky, finishing her career with 1,071 career points and 778 rebounds.

“I still want to be there for my team,” Harrison said. “This season is not over, and I know my teammates will use this as motivation to pursue the ultimate goal. I will continue to get healthy, and I appreciate all the wishes and support I’ve received during this time.”
