Tennessee baseball releases full 2025 schedule, begins season mid-February

The defending NCAA National Champions officially have a full 2025 slate.

On Thursday, Tennessee baseball released its season schedule, which features 56 contests: 38 home games, 15 on the road and three in neutral territory.

Head coach Tony Vitello heads into his eighth season at Tennessee, coming off a national championship alongside an SEC record 60-win season. The Vols begin their new season with a three-game home series against Hofstra on Feb. 14. It is the start to eight-straight home games to begin the year.

Tennessee hits the road for the first time when it takes to Houston, Texas, to participate in the Astros Foundation Classic. The Vols will play three games with Oklahoma State, Rice and Arizona on the schedule.

Throughout the season, Tennessee currently has 14 midweek opponents sprinkled in. The Vols will face UNC Asheville, North Alabama, Radford, Xavier, West Georgia, ETSU, Queens, Tennessee Tech, Bellarmine, Lipscomb, Northern Kentucky, Indiana State and Belmont.

SEC play begins March 14 when Tennessee plays host to the Florida Gators. The conference slate was announced in September, and the Vols will have 10 total series in the regular season. Postseason play begins on May 20, 2025 in Hoover, Alabama, for the SEC Tournament.
