Tennessee softball takes the weekend off from SEC play to face UConn.
Karen Weekly and the No. 7 Lady Vols (22-4) are just three games into their conference schedule but have a bye this weekend. They filled the slot by scheduling UConn (13-8) for a three-game series.
Tennessee enters the series off a 1-0 win over Duke. Karlyn Pickens was dominant in the win, allowing two hits in her complete-game effort. Meanwhile, Tennessee’s offense still has room to grow after only scoring one run.
