Moose’s Music Hall will be swinging tonight, as Knoxville band Martha’s
Thirst takes the stage. Other local favorites– Jody Manross, Audio
Poolside and Jag Star– round out a bill that gives students a chance to
hear several great bands.
Admission to the concert is free before 10:30 p.m., and a limited number of
free passes will be available before the show.
Martha’s Thirst is a local band worth checking out. They have been together
for over two years, and have remained loyal to the Knoxville scene since
their debut album, From Where I Stand, was released.
Jacob Leim, drummer and percussionist for the band, said that the group has
been working on some new tracks and have been very pleased with the results
thus far. Leim said the band hopes to get some label attention and begin
touring soon.
Just by listening to From Where I Stand , it’s easy to see how being
signed by a major label is a real possibility for this group. They have a
good sound and some great lyrics.
Since the show is free until 10:30 p.m., there’s nothing to lose by
checking out these talented local musicians.
