Tonight at Thompson-Boling Arena you have the chance to see Limp Bizkit,
and with two platinum albums under their belts it promises to put on a
great show.
Although their more recent songs have made them superstars in pop culture,
Limp Bizkit has had a strong following since their debut album. The band
was popularized by their singles “Faith” – a remake of the George Michael
song, and “Nookie.” Their most recent hit “N 2 Gether Now” features the
talents of rap artist Method Man. This hit was the product of a
free-styling rap session between Limp Bizkit lead singer Fred Durst and
Method Man. Limp Bizkit has been hailed by Rolling Stone magazine as
having “redefined late-’90s hard rock.” The latest album from Limp Bizkit,
Significant Other , is currently at number 10 on the Billboard
charts.
Def Jam rappers Method Man and Redman will be appearing along with Limp
Bizkit. Both Method Man and Redman played with the Wu-Tang Clan before
deciding to go solo. You may also recognize them from their new hit album
Blackout!
System of a Down will open the show at tonight’s performance.
This is the first time Limp Bizkit has ever visited Knoxville and should be
an exceptional show. A.C. Entertainment and Extreme Radio 94.3 are
presenting tonight’s performance. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets for the still available at all Tickets Unlimited outlets or may be
charged by phone at 656-4444.
