Tennessee capped off the first day of the early signing period with a bang as the Vols went into the Sunshine State to pick up a signature from 4-star outside linebacker Morven Joseph.
Joseph ranks as the nation’s 352ndprospect in the nation and 58thin the state of Florida according to the 247sports composite.
Tennessee went down into the heart of Florida picking up the Lakeland, Florida native over Florida State and Florida.
Joseph was committed to Florida State before the Seminoles fired Willie Taggart. Tennessee appeared to be in the catbird seat for Joseph heading into the weekend, but Joseph visited Tallahassee meeting new head coach Willie Taggart and muddying the waters.
In the end Tennessee was able to overcome the Seminoles late momentum to bring in a blue chip recruit at a position of need in this class.
