T’s College of Architecture and Design was recently recognized for its achievements in several different categories by “DesignIntelligence,” the premier source for design school rankings. The professional Design Futures council provides the research to create these rankings.
The undergraduate architecture program was ranked 15th among all public universities in the country, and the program was also recognized with the eighth highest rate of post-graduate hirings among programs of similar sizes. The School of Interior Architecture placed ninth in this category, and the School of Landscape Architecture placed 10th. The latter two have both risen in their rankings in comparison to DesignIntelligence’s 2018 report.
Additionally, Rana Abudayyeh, Robin Klehr Avia Professor of Interior Design, was named as one of the “DesignIntelligence’s most admired educators of 2019. Abudayyeh has been with the College of Architecture and Design since 2015.
Other UT professors who have previously been recognized as most-admired educators by DesignIntelligence include James Rose, Distinguished Lecturer in the School of Architecture; Ryann Aoukar, former associate professor of interior design; and Scott Poole, Dean of the College of Architecture and Design.
These rankings represent the fifth time in recent years that UT’s College of Architecture and Design has been recognized by DesignIntelligence.
