How would you like to live in London for six months, rent-free, with six
strangers? Don’t answer yet, because there is just one catch: Music
Television will be filming every move you make. Yes, that’s right: MTV
is casting for Real World London, the next installment of its
“real-life soap opera” series.
For those without access to their own video equipment, MTV representative
Brad Jones will be taping short application videos from 1 to 6 p.m. this
Saturday, October 29 in 309 University Center. The cable music channel is
looking for folks who have a “specific compelling reason to go to London.
This means school, work or “etc.”
Candidates must be 18 to 24 years of age, single and willing to share their
“lives, loves and most intimate thoughts” with millions of television
viewers.
“Applicant’s videos should tell what they would do in London, and why they
would be an asset to the series,” said Real World agent Lara Spotts. The
candidates’ videos should be 10 to 12 minutes long, giving their name, age,
address, phone number and “compelling reason.”
The videos should be sent to The Real World, 10 Universal City Plaza, 33rd
Floor, Universal City, California 91608. More information is available from
the “Real World Hotline”: (818) 505-7929.
