Marquez North, Preston Williams, Brett Kendrick, Jashon Robertson, Dylan Wiseman — all significant contributors — have suffered injuries in the past several games.
North has struggled with injuries all season. Williams has missed the last three games after suffering a hamstring injury in practice, and Kendrick has missed the past four games. Robertson suffered an injury on the offense’s first series against Kentucky and did not play against South Carolina. Wiseman was injured during Tennessee’s 27-24 win over the Gamecocks.
Tennessee coach Butch Jones, however, expects these players to practice on Monday.
“We anticipate all of the individuals to be out at practice today,” Jones said at his Monday presser at the Ray and Lucy Hand Digital Studio. “We anticipate all of them to be practicing come Tuesday. They are making progress. We will see with Brett Kendrick, he has worked very, very hard. Jashon has. They all have.
“Marquez North, you know, it’s just a muscular thing. And he practices limited throughout the course of the week and then we see how he is at game time. I know he wants to be out there, they all do. But I give all our players credit.”
Jones said he will more on Wednesday whether those players will play on Saturday.
