Rising sophomore Coleman Thomas was absent from practice Thursday after reports of his arrest emerged in the early afternoon.

According to an arrest report, Thomas was arrested on Wednesday on a Class E felony for allegedly stealing an Xbox One and three video games from a student room in Reese Hall. The theft happened on March 13 between 10:55 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

It was later revealed that Thomas sold the game console and video games to a GameStop on Clinton Highway. The report said the stolen items were valued at $640. GameStop gave Thomas $176 for the console and the games.

According to a statement from Associate Athletic Director for Communications Jimmy Stanton, Thomas has been suspended from all team activities.

“We are aware of the situation and awaiting further details,” Stanton said.

Thomas played in 11 games in his freshman season and started in five at right tackle. He was expected to compete for the fifth and final spot on the offensive line for the upcoming 2015 season.
