Around 1:50 p.m. Thursday, the body of a man was found in the Tennessee River near Lake Loudon Boulevard.
The body was recovered and transported to the Regional Forensic Center for further evaluation.
The Medical Examiner’s Office personnel have tentatively identified him.
The cause of death has not yet been determined, and there are no signs of trauma or foul play, according to Scott Erland, the communications manager for the Knoxville Police Department.
