Vols fans can now add to their orange and white spirit by purchasing UT car mats online.
The NCAA car mats are available through GG Bailey’s Web site, www.ggbailey.com.
“There are over 220 million cars on the road in the U.S. and millions of NCAA fans,” said Emily Bailey, the e-commerce director at GG Bailey. “Through (our Web site), students, alumni and fans can design their favorite officially licensed NCAA car and truck mats.”
Currently, 10 NCAA school logos are available at the Web site. If you cannot locate a school at the Web site, you simply let them know what you want, and they can apply for licensing if at least four others have asked for it. Licensing only takes three to 17 days.
Even if you are not a die-hard Vol fan, you can still create a custom mat to match your car.
“A virtual car mat … provides direction on design options after choosing your automobile’s make, model and year with over 200,000 possible design combinations,” Bailey said. “GG Bailey offers custom-fit mats for all makes and models of cars, trucks, SUVs and minivans. There are thousands of patterns, and each is custom fit.”
The company was founded by racecar driver Bob Bailey, who saw a market for carpet floormats. Bob Bailey originally founded his company and sold to dealers. With the arrival of the Internet, the custom mats could be sold directly to the consumer.
“Car mats are a unique part of our car, especially with more and more people customizing their cars,” Bailey said. “No one else on the Internet allows you to design your own mats. Our mats are made custom order and shipped in 48 hours; usually custom products take two to four weeks.”
A set of custom mats cost a base price of $95, with the NCAA logo costing an additional $15. Trunk and cargo mats are also available on the Web site.
