Florida destroyed its first two opponents of the season, Charleston Southern and Troy, by a combined score of 118-9. The Gators’ offense ranks first in the nation after racking up 643.5 yards per game to start the season. Tim Tebow is a one-of-a-kind talent under center for the Gators, and Urban Meyer has overseen Florida’s dominance of the SEC since becoming head coach. Combine all that with the fire Lane Kiffin lit under Florida in the offseason, and you’ve got one tough opponent for the Vols Saturday. Tennessee’s last game against UCLA proved the Gators can control the Volunteer offense with pressure, so the only aspect of the game Florida needs to focus on is turnovers. If the Gators can withstand Monte Kiffin’s defense, Florida will avoid the losing end of a spectacular upset.
