Worley, Vols trounce Utah State, 38-7

Heading into the Tennessee Volunteers contest against Utah State, it was Chuckie Keeton, the Heisman contending quarterback, who was expected to be the difference maker.

On Sunday, however, it was the quarterback donning orange and white that graced Shield-Watkins Field with a game-changing performance.

In his first start under center since undergoing thumb surgery on Oct. 29, Justin Worley completed 27 of his 38 passes – a career-high – for 273 yards as he led the Vols to a 38-7 victory over the Aggies.

Senior linebacker A.J. Johnson had a career night that he will never forget Sunday in the Tennessee's 38-7 season opening win over Utah State.

The leading tackler from last season put forth a stat line that would have many talking about forming a Heisman trophy campaign for him instead of Chuckie Keeton.

The 6-foot-2, 245-pound middle linebacker had nine tackles, a pass breakup, a forced fumble, and the first interception of his collegiate career.
