Senior associate athletics director of communications Jimmy Stanton confirmed Monday afternoon that Allan Carson will no longer be a part of the Tennessee football team.

"He is graduating and has decided to move on," Stanton told the Daily Beacon via text message.

The redshirt junior defensive lineman played in a total of five games as a freshman, but has not seen the field the last two seasons.

The Oxford, Ala., native, who redshirted last season, is majoring in Arts & Sciences.

After Carson's departure, the Vols now have 18 members on their roster listed at the defensive line position.
